KL Singapore High Speed Rail Stations & Stops

KL Singapore High Speed Rail Station

Great news, we have more details on on the new
Kuala Lumpur – Singapore High Speed Rail Line.

The ride from Singapore to KL will be within 90 minutes but could come up to about 2.5 hours including waiting time, transfers and immigration clearance.

This is welcome news as the typical commute to work within KL during peak hours can take as much as 90 minutes. For around the same travel time, might as well work in Singapore and get paid in SGD.

Construction on the project could begin in the third quarter of next year. The entire project is targeted for completion in 2020.

The location of the stations were confirmed by Malaysia’s Land Public Transport Commission chairman, Tan Sri Syed Hamid bin Syed Jaafar Albar.

The High-Speed Rail (HSR) project connecting KL and Singapore will have 7 stops / stations:
  • Kuala Lumpur
  • Putrajaya
  • Seremban
  • Ayer Keroh
  • Muar
  • Batu Pahat
  • Nusajaya
  • Singapore
I'm guessing that the terminus in Kuala Lumpur should be at Sentral KL as it is connected to all the other rail network.

Singapore’s could be housed in the city centre, Jurong East or Tuas.

Hopefully there are plans to extend the network up north.
  • Ipoh
  • Bukit Mertajam (Penang)
  • Kuala Perlis (Langkawi)
  • Krabi (Phuket)
  • Bangkok
